I was in town for a wedding and stopped here for some lunch. The food was incredible, especially the fresh made pork rinds. I love that they fry their food in beef tallow, mega bonus points for that. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
Gadge was our server for the evening, and he was super helpful! My husband and I were only in town for 1 evening and decided to come in for dinner. I got the Blackstone Caesar Salad with blackened chicken, and my husband got the Blackstone Chili Dog- both of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service!
Food and service was excellent. We made reservations because we had a large party. Other people were able to get in without a wait so I'm not sure that reservations are necessary in all cases. We came on a Monday night. The restaurant was pretty full. Large menu and interesting selection. The Reuben was great. It was the sandwich of the month. Everything was excellent! Our server Gadge did an awesome job. He was very personable and stayed on top of everything. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
On a Thursday afternoon, there’s not many places where you can go and have top notch service. Not only was the food fantastic but Maddi was the absolute best bartender in the area. Attention to detail, while also holding down the entire dining room area, it’s hard to find anyone in the industry who cares this much. She has an energy that’s hard to match and a work ethic that makes Blackstone an easy place to come back to every single time.
Langston Hughes wrote, "Hold fast to dreams, For if Dreams die, Life is a flightless bird, that cannot fly." No flightless bird here. This charming pub if full of life and I am sure the Raven on it's wall comes to life at night looking for a taste of this world class food in little Joplin Missouri. My sweetheart and I have traveled to 27 countries and most states and were grateful to find this his gem of a gastronomic heaven as good any East Coast eatery. This small treasure has delicious food, delightful welcomes (our waiter with a mustache of perfection just added to the charm), and divine desserts indulge in! Thank you Blackstone Grastropub!
Been twice and it was great both times. If you really want your entree to be delicious, order the fried Brussels sprouts. They are TERRIBLE , but everything you eat after the fried brussels sprouts have hit your taste buds is going to taste like the best thing you’ve ever ate in your life🤣 I would suggest taking those off the menu 🫣. Other than the fried brussels sprouts, everything I’ve ordered there has been delicious😋
